If chasing this nineteen year old is causing you stress, not that I am invalidating that you like her, I’m glad you like her, and she’s cool, but if this nineteen year old is causing you to worry… you’re twenty four … oh God, the mistakes I made at twenty four… I was so serious about these decisions that I made - My advice to you is to have fun. You’re twenty four. I’m almost forty and at some point I fucked up because I didn’t marry, and I haven’t had any kids so I didn’t find the balance there between having fun and becoming serious in a relationship. But you don’t need to be seriously deciding this. Maybe she’s seeing this guy to get your attention. You have the option of riding it out and when he messes it up with her you step in and you tell her, but that’s being nice. [I interject: “I’ve been patient”] Good! But being nice… nice guys don’t win. Or you could tell her…. but… as a woman… that’s a tough, a really tough position to be in.
